CarryMinati started interested in YouTube when he was 8 years old after viewing football videos on the platform. He launched his first YouTube account, ‘STeaLThFeArzZ,’ at the age of ten, on which he produced roughly two dozen videos, largely regarding football skills and tutorials. He eventually launched another channel, ‘AddictedA1,’ on October 30, 2014, in response to low user response, and began posting gameplay videos with entertaining remarks imitating the voices of Bollywood celebs such as Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol. In 2015, he changed the name of his channel to ‘CarryDeol,’ and was able to gain more viewers, thanks to the ‘Counter Strike’ community sharing his content. After six months, he became bored and decided to evolve his channel, which he did after discovering YouTuber Leafyishere,’ whose notion of gaming roast videos he then used in his own videos.

After becoming increasingly popular, he rebranded the channel to ‘CarryMinati.’ ‘Making Money with BB Ki Vines,’ broadcast on June 21, 2016, was one of his first viral videos, in which he mocked people who uploaded films of themselves reacting to the the the prominent YouTuber Bhuvan Bam. While Ajey Nagar has dabbled with a variety of genres over the years, including gameplay videos, diss tracks, parodies, and comic sketches, it is his roasting videos that set him apart. In such films, he criticizes a number of people, which has sparked controversy. He was struck twice on his YouTube channel, once by local Haryanvi artist Bheem Narula, who sought a hefty fee to end the strike, and the other time by the proprietor of the YouTube channel ‘MovieTalkies.’ While he now has a distinct ‘Copyright Disclaimer’ on his channel, his primary content type has remained roasting people, shows, trends, and other things that he thinks deserving of criticism.

He recently produced a video titled ‘YOUTUBE VS TIK TOK: THE END’ ridiculing popular TikTok user Amir Siddiqui in the midst of the ongoing conflict between the two video-sharing platforms, YouTube and TikTok, which erupted in after some YouTubers began reacting to cringeworthy TikTok films.
