Joey Bragg was born on July 20, 1996, in Union City, California, and grew up in a Jewish family. He is one of four siblings and has an older brother named Jack and a sister named Dove. He attended James Logan High School, which is part of the New Haven Unified School District in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Before pursuing an entertainment career, Bragg was interested in ice hockey. At the age of 12, he participated in the California Cougars Pee Wee “B” Ice Hockey Championship. He continued to enjoy skating and became known for his skills on the ice.
