Ethan Sandler is an American actor, producer, and screenwriter who has built a successful career in television and film. He is widely recognized for portraying Assistant District Attorney Jeffrey Brandau in the crime drama series Crossing Jordan. Sandler made his acting debut in the 1988 drama film The Chocolate War, directed by Keith Gordon, where he played the role of David Caroni. Ethan Sandler was born on December 3, 1972, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA, into a Jewish family and was brought up following Jewish traditions and values.
He attended Mercer Island High School in Washington, where he developed an early interest in filmmaking and produced short videos during his school years. After graduating from high school in 1991, he enrolled at Northwestern University and earned his degree in 1995.
During his time at Northwestern, Sandler frequently collaborated with Adrian Wenner on a variety of creative projects, including Epitaph, This Might Hurt, Man with a Plan, and We Hate Paul Revere. Ethan Sandler first met actress Kathryn Hahn while they were both students at Northwestern University. After several years of dating, he proposed to her in 2000, and the couple married on January 3, 2002.
They welcomed their first child, a son named Leonard, in 2006, followed by a daughter, Mae, in 2009.
In 2016, Sandler and Hahn purchased a luxury villa for approximately $2.55 million. Before moving, they had owned a Mediterranean-style home from the 1920s for more than a decade, eventually selling it for over $1 million. The family currently resides in Los Angeles with their two children.
