Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh Sze-Man is a talented and multi-award winner. Over the course of nearly two decades, she has not only succeeded in winning over millions of hearts in her native country with a number of noteworthy TVB television shows, but she has also taken her career overseas, to China. After competing in the 1997 Miss Hong Kong Pageant and placing second runner-up, the International Hotel Management Institute graduate from Switzerland signed her as a contract employee of TVB, the country’s first wireless commercial TV station. Despite receiving criticism at first for her acting abilities, she eventually improved and became regarded as one of the most respected actors in her native country as well as abroad. Charmaine took part in the TVB-organized “Miss Hong Kong Pageant” in 1997. With Virginia Yung taking home the title and Vivian Lee coming in first, she finished as the second runner-up.
She started her new career in acting and entertainment after winning the beauty competition and getting signed by TVB.

In 1998, she starred in her first TVB series, “Time Off.” She attempted leading parts in numerous TVB shows throughout her early acting career, but her acting was criticized. She continued to strive for better acting, nevertheless, and such critiques did not deter her.
