Korean-American artist Jae-hyung Park, also known as “Jae,” is a composer, rapper, vocalist, and songwriter. He is the front man for the South Korean rock group “Day6,” serving as both lead vocalist and electric guitarist. Although he was born in Argentina, he grew up primarily in California, USA. He frequently posted covers of songs to his YouTube page. He traveled to South Korea after passing the tryouts for the South Korean reality competition “K-pop Star” while he was a student at “California State University.” After making it to the final six, he got a contract with “JYP Entertainment” for their first rock band, “Day6.” The band’s debut EP, “The Day,” marked Jae Park’s stage debut in September 2015. Early Life & Childhood of Jae-hyung Park

On September 15, 1992, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jae Park was born. His sibling is older than him. His family relocated to South Korea when he was five years old, then to Cerritos, California, two years later.
Park started a debate club while he was a student at “Cerritos High School.” He enrolled at California State University, Long Beach after graduating, where he decided to major in political science. After being chosen in the preliminary rounds of the South Korean reality competition TV series, SBS’s “K-pop Star,” he dropped out of school and relocated to South Korea. Three significant South Korean entertainment firms searched for possible K-pop stars in this global audition.

Park took part in the series, reaching the list of the top 6 competitors before losing on April 1, 2012. But he secured an exclusive contract with “JYP Entertainment” together with another competitor, Baek A-yeon, and the winner, Park Ji-min.

Career or Jae-hyung Park

Park is the lead singer and electric guitarist for Day6, the original rock group of JYP. Yoon Do-woon, Kim Won-pil, Park Sungjin, and Kang Yeong-hyun (Young K.) are the other members of the band “Day 6.” Before joining the band, Jae Park trained for three years. The group “Day6” (formerly known as “5LIVE”) made an appearance on Mnet’s reality survival show “Who is Next: Win” in 2014 to promote their song “Lovely Girl.”

On September 7, 2015, Jae Park joined the band for the first time. The lead song from the band’s debut EP, “The Day,” “Congratulations,” was released on the same day. Six of the EP’s tracks are original. On March 31, 2016, the trio made their official stage debut on the music program “M Countdown,” six months after their initial debut.
On March 30, 2016, the band’s second EP, “Daydream,” was released along with the lead single, “Letting Go.” This album also included six original tunes, with Park contributing to two of them, “First Time” and “Blood.”

Park made an appearance as the host of “After School Club (ASC),” a live music request conversation show on the South Korean English TV network “Arirang,” on June 28, 2016. Kevin Woo and Park Ji-min were his co-hosts on the show. He was announced as the official MC of the program “ASC” starting of July 17, 2018. Along with artist Bernard Park, he made an appearance as a guest DJ on “Arirang Radio’s Monday Music Access.”

The band announced their new project, “Every Day6,” on December 29, 2016, promising to release two songs every month for the whole year 2017. The trio released several singles under this project, such as “I Wait,” “You Were Beautiful,” “My Day,” “How Can I Say,” “Dance Dance,” and many more. Additionally, they advertised these singles on the TV music show “M Countdown.”

“On June 7, 2017, Day6’s first full-length album, “Sunrise,” was released. Its fourteen tracks featured two brand-new songs, “Lean on Me,” and the lead single, “I Smile,” in addition to the singles that were released between January and May.

The group embarked on a tour in 2017, calling it “Day6 Live & Meet in North America 2017,” with “SubKulture Entertainment” serving as the host. They covered the American cities of Los Angeles, Austin, New York, Detroit, and Toronto in October 2017.

As their second full-length album, “Moonrise,” was released on December 6, 2017, the group announced the end of their monthly project, “Every Day 6.” The album featured two more tracks including the title tune, “I Like You,” in addition to the singles that were released from July to November. The “Olympic Hall” hosted the “Every Day6 Finale Concert – The Best Moments” on March 3 and 4, 2018.
In January 2018, Jae Park and his ensemble set out on their “Every Day6 Concert Nationwide Tour,” traveling through the cities of Daegu, Daejeon, and Busan.

On March 14, 2018, ‘Day6’s first Japanese single was released, marking the band’s debut in Japan. On June 13, 2018, “The Best day – Day6 1st Live in Japan,” their debut performance in Japan, took place at Tokyo’s “Tsutaya O-East.” On July 25, 2018, their second Japanese single, “Stop the rain,” was made available.

On June 26, 2018, Jae Park and “Day6” released their third EP, “Shoot Me: Youth Part I.” There are seven tunes in all, the lead song being “Shoot Me.” In June 2018, the band released “The Best Day,” their first greatest hits album, in Japan.
The group’s inaugural global tour, dubbed “Youth,” kicked off in November 2018 and ran through January 2019.
