Adam Bilzerian is an American author and poker player. He is the younger brother of infamous “Instagram” personality Dan Bilzerian and the younger son of American businessman Paul Bilzerian. Adam was raised in Florida and was born into a wealthy American business family. He played on multiple school sports teams and has always been an avid sports fan. He took up tennis in high school with the intention of joining the “US Army” when he grew up. But when his father Paul was put in jail due to market manipulation, his hopes were dashed. At the time, Adam was a high school student, and the encounter made him reconsider joining the army. In the end, he started playing poker. In the “World Series of Poker,” he has participated. Because of the way the American government handled his father, he eventually became anti-American. He made the decision to permanently relocate to the West Indies after leaving the US. Later, he published a book titled “America: Love it or Leave it—So I Left,” in which he discussed the problems he had with his native nation. Adam chose a stable life with his wife and kids, while his brother became well-known on social media for his excessively ambitious and misogynistic behavior.

Early Life & Childhood of Adam Bilzerian

In 1983, Adam Bilzerian was born in Tampa, Florida, to Paul Bilzerian, a corporate takeover specialist, and his wife Terri. He was the family’s second-born child. He was raised with Dan, his older brother.
One of the wealthiest families in Florida was Adam’s. As a result, from the moment of their birth, the two brothers were immersed in an opulent atmosphere. They both have high IQs in addition to that. They did fairly well academically.

But when Adam was only six years old in 1989, disaster befell the family. His father was sentenced to prison after being charged in connection with a fraud case. Even though Adam and his brother shared all of their father’s wealth equally, it did not make up for Adam’s fatherless upbringing.

He kept up his studies and earned his diploma from “Gaither High School.” Adam was a sports fan as well. He was an avid tennis player in school. He competed in multiple events on behalf of his high school.
Adam attended “Vanderbilt University” after high school and excelled there, earning a degree. Adam, like his older brother, was not interested in going into his father’s field of employment and instead sought a career in poker.

Career of Adam Bilzerian

As he grew older, his plans to join the US military changed, and he decided to pursue a career in games and poker instead. Dan, his elder brother, was well-known on the national poker scene and had also been playing the game.
Adam played in the Nevada-hosted “World Series of Poker” in 2009. At the completion of the series, he had earned $138,568 and ranked 47th. Dan took part in the competition as well.

The media focused on the fantastic performances by both of the brothers. The brothers were dubbed the “Flying Bilzerian Brothers” in an article by Norman Chad, one of the most renowned American sportswriters in history. He took part in the 2010 “World Series” as well, although he was unimpressive.

The renowned basketball star Alex Rodriguez extended a poker challenge to him, which he accepted. Alex surprised everyone by playing really well and winning against all save Adam.
Adam’s decision to leave the US was met with criticism. To express his dissatisfaction with American lawmakers, he chose to pen a semi-memoir titled “America: Love it or Leave it—So I Left.” The book did remarkably well and had very positive reviews.

Adam has contributed $400,000 to the well-known hotel chain “Marriott” and has taken part in a number of other business ventures.

Disputes of Adam Bilzerian

When Adam’s father was arrested and taken into custody by the “Federal Bureau of Investigation” (FBI) for the crime of “market manipulation,” he was a student. On the other hand, their neighbors called the whole situation “pure intimidation.” Adam asked for his father to be there for his high school graduation, but his request was turned down.

Adam had never been pleased with his father’s treatment. He also gave up on his intention to enlist in the US army. Later, he said in interviews that he could not defend his nation when it was treating his father so poorly.
His dissatisfaction with his own country grew over time as a result of the incident he saw as a child, which he never entirely got over. He witnessed George W. Bush secure a second term in office while he was a college student. Adam fostered a dislike toward Republicans.

It served as the last straw, so to speak. Adam made the decision to live abroad. In Saint Kitts and Navis, a small West Indies island nation, he submitted his application for citizenship.

He later disclosed all the factors that drove him to choose to relocate outside of the United States in his book. He declared that the “Bill of Rights” had no chance of survival in light of the “Republican Party’s” electoral success. Adam later became a permanent citizen of Saint Kitts and Navis, renouncing his US status.

But Dan, his brother, is still an American citizen. Americans who support nationalism have chastised Adam for both his choice and the book, which they saw as a vicious critique of them. Still, the book was well-reviewed. Later on, a number of thinkers asserted that Adam’s choice was “understandable.”

Individual Life of Adam Bilzerian

In 2007, Adam Bilzerian relocated to Saint Kitts & Nevis after purchasing a home there. He and his spouse and kids presently reside in his estate.

After Paul, Adam’s father, was released from prison, he moved in with his younger son.
Dan used to say that his brother was the complete opposite of him. Dan leads a lavish life filled with scandals, wealth, and celebrity, while his younger brother opted for a quiet and contented existence.
