American financier and hedge fund manager Ray Dalio was given the name Raymond Dalio at birth. He is the creator of Bridgewater Associates, one of the biggest investment companies in the world. Career of Ray Dalio

Ray Dalio began trading commodity futures at the New York Stock Exchange after he finished his education. He later worked as the Director of Commodities at Dominick & Dominick LLC before joining Shearson Hayden Stone in 1974 as a futures broker and trader.

He established Bridgewater Associates, his investment management company, in 1975. It is currently among the biggest hedge funds in the world. Before announcing his resignation in March 2017, Dalio was the company’s co-CEO for ten months. He was joined in his resignation by the fund’s co-CEO, Jon Rubinstein. He still served as an advisor, though.

In a 30-minute video titled “How the Economic Machine Works” posted on YouTube in 2013, Dalio discussed his economic views and investment strategies.
