As a well-known member of the award-winning country music duo “Florida Georgia Line,” Tyler Reed Hubbard is an experienced American musician. Tyler, who has always enjoyed music, first became interested in the profession while attending church services. He was a church worship leader who later founded the hip-hop group “Ingenious Circuit” when he was still a teenager. Originally from Monroe, Georgia, he moved to Nashville to attend “Belmont University,” where he met Brian Kelley. In 2010, the two started the musical group “Florida Georgia Line.” They first thought of coverings. They signed with the label “Big Loud Mountain,” which issued their second EP, “It’z Just What We Do,” the same year they released their debut EP, “Anything Like Me.” The first song from the EP, “Cruise,” became a massive hit, shattering two significant sales records. As of January 2014, it became the most popular country song ever sold digitally in the US and is regarded as a prime example of the ‘bro-country’ musical subgenre. Cruising is still the duo’s most well-known tune. Other compositions by the duo, such as the studio albums “Here’s to the Good Times,” “Anything Goes,” and “Dig Your Roots,” contributed to Tyler’s popularity as well as that of the band.

Early Childhood & Life

Roy Wayne Hubbard and his wife Amy had Tyler on January 31, 1987, in Monroe, Georgia, in the United States. He was the oldest of their kids. Amelia and Cameron, his younger sister and brother, are also living with him.

He participated in a variety of sports as a young lad and rode dirt bikes a lot. Additionally connected to the church, he made a number of weekly trips. He became interested in music through church worship services. He would direct the church’s worship by the time he was in high school.

In his leisure time, Tyler would learn the guitar and collaborate with buddies to produce hip-hop and rap tunes. He had a piano and acoustic guitar skills.

In 2005, he graduated from the “Loganville Christian Academy,” where he completed high school. After that, he moved to Nashville and enrolled at “Belmont University.”

During a campus workshop group at “Belmont University,” he met Brian Kelley in 2007 through a common acquaintance. That same year, Tyler lost his father in a helicopter accident that happened close to his hometown.

Career of Tyler Hubbard

Due to their shared passion for music, Tyler and Brian grew close friends and began writing songs and playing the guitar together. After graduating, they made the decision to try their hand at music and set themselves two years to become a recognized pair in the country music genre.

The two pursued their enthusiasm for playing in clubs on the weekends while working various odd jobs to support themselves. They gradually began appearing in shows all over the south.

In 2010, they created the country music duo “Florida Georgia Line.” They self-released their debut EP, ‘Anything Like Me,’ which they co-produced with Wesley Walker, on December 14 of that year. Six songs made up the digitally released EP, some written by Tyler alone and others by him with the other.

Tyler later went on to secure a licensing agreement with Craig Wiseman’s innovative independent country music publishing house, “Big Loud Shirt,” in the fall of 2011.

The pair was discovered by Canadian artist, record producer, composer, and audio engineer, Joey Moi, at a county fair and signed with the label “Big Loud Mountain” in December 2011. The three quickly began collaborating and improving tunes as they went. These tracks were included on the duo’s second EP, “It’z Just What We Do.”

Joey Moi produced “It’z Just What We Do,” which Big Loud Mountain released on May 15, 2012. On August 6, 2012, the first of its five songs, “Cruise,” was released and quickly became a big smash. The song, which was written by Tyler, Brian, Joey, Jesse Rice, and Chase Rice, shattered two significant sales records. It rose to become the top-selling digital country single in the US as of January 2014.

After “Cruise” debuted on the ad-free country music radio station “The Highway,” renowned record labels began expressing interest. Over time, the song amassed respectable sales on “iTunes,” and as a result, the duo agreed to a deal with “Big Machine Label Group Records,” formerly known as “Republic Nashville.”

The all-time best-selling country song on digital platforms is still “Cruise.” The song held the record for the longest reign on the Billboard chart with a record-breaking 24 weeks, until Sam Hunt’s song “Body Like a Back Road” surpassed it in July 2017.

Here’s to the Good Times, the duo’s debut studio album, was released by “Republic Nashville” on December 4, 2012. Its lead single, “Cruise,” was included in the album and peaked at number one on the “Billboard Country Airplay” list on December 15.

‘Here’s to the Good Times’ featured six brand-new songs in addition to the remaining four tracks from the EP ‘It’z Just What We Do,’ with the exception of ‘Cruise. The album began on the “Billboard Top Country Albums” list at number three and finally reached the top spot in June 2013. It received a “Platinum” certification from “Music Canada” and the “Recording Industry Association of America” on July 1, 2014, making it the sixth best-selling album of that year in the US (RIAA).

A remix of “Cruise” was simultaneously published on April 2, 2013, on iTunes, and on April 16, 2013, on pop radio. Nelly appeared in it, which Jason Nevins produced. The remix was included in the music video for Nelly’s song “Hey Porsche” and was included in the deluxe edition of “Here’s to the Good Times,” which was released on November 25 of the same year and was titled “Here’s to the Good Times… This Is How We Roll.”

The pair’s third EP, titled “iTunes Session,” was published on January 14 of this year. Tyler experienced a dirt-bike accident in February, which left him with a back ailment. The duo released their second album, “Anything Goes,” on October 14 of that year, and it went on to receive “Platinum” certifications from both “Music Canada” and “RIAA.” Its lead single, “Dirt,” topped the “Billboard Hot Country Songs” list and became the duo’s sixth “numero-uno” hit song.
In 2015, Tyler and Brian founded their own music publishing and talent development business, “Tree Vibez Music.” The organization’s first writer/producer to sign on is Jordan Schmidt. James McNair, Daniel Ross, Cameron Montgomery, Corey Crowder, and RaeLynn are some more authors that later signed with the business.

As the duo released their third studio album, “Dig Your Roots,” which was produced by Joey Moi, Tyler continued to rise to popularity while basking in the success of being a member of one of the most successful country music acts. The album, which was released on August 26, 2016, debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart and topped the weekly list of “US Top Country Albums.” The RIAA awarded it a “Platinum” certification.
