Matthew Labyorteaux debuted in the film “A Woman Under the Influence” in 1974. He later appeared as a guest star on numerous television dramas, including ‘The Rookies,’ ‘Phyllis,’ ‘The Practice,’ ‘Doc,’ and ‘The Bob Newhart Show.

He starred in the television shows The Red Hand Gang and Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman in 1977. The next year, the actor was cast in the drama series ‘Little House on the Prairie’ as Albert Quinn Ingalls. He starred in the 1978 film “King of the Gypsies.”
