Theodore Anthony Nugent, better known as Ted Nugent, is a hard rock guitarist and singer best known for his 1970s hits ‘Stranglehold,’ ‘Cat Scratch Fever,’ and ‘Wango Tango. Ted Nugent was born Marion Dorothy and Warren Nugent in Detroit. He is the youngest of three siblings. He was raised Catholic and regularly attends church.

Career of Ted
In 1964, Ted Nugent and other musicians such as Bob Lehnert, Gary Hicks, and Dick Treat formed The Amboy Dukes, a band that performed in clubs.
The band’s music encompassed a range of rock styles, including hard rock, acid rock, and heavy metal. In 1967, the band released its self-titled debut album, ‘The Amboy Dukes,’ which was met with critical acclaim. In 1976, he released his second album, ‘Free-for-All.’ It featured the chart-topping single ‘Dog eat Dog’ and was featured on the North American Billboard Hot 100.
He then released ‘Cat Scratch Fever’ (1977) and ‘Weekend Warriors’ (1978). (1978). Both albums achieved significant commercial success and were certified multi-platinum.
He ushered in the 1980s with ‘Scream Dream,’ an instant hit upon its release. It featured the chart-topping single ‘Wango Tango’.
