Kevin Lazan is the spouse of Rachel Platten, an Emmy Award-winning singer-songwriter. He is the creator and CEO of The Gables, a counter-service cafe in Santa Monica, California, as well as a lawyer. Kevin is the driving force behind Platten’s fame. Her music career got off to a shaky start, with her debut and second albums, ‘Trust in Me’ (2003) and ‘Be Here’ (2011), both failing to please the public and critics. Kevin’s faith in her, on the other hand, never wavered. It was the realization of a dream shared by two people when her song ‘Fight Song’ (2015) became an international smash and the anthem for anyone caught in a personal struggle with anything. After his father grew unwell, Platten wrote the song “Superman” for his third album, “Wildfire.”
Personal Experiences of Kevin
Kevin Lazan was born in Florida in 1980 to David M. Lazan, a lawyer, and Judi Lazan, a realtor. He is a devout follower of the Jewish faith. In 1998, he enrolled at the University of Massachusetts Amherst after finishing high school. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in legal studies and journalism four years later. In 2006, he met Rachel Platten, who was then an aspiring singer, in New York.
Their first date, according to the singer of “Stand by You,” was less than ideal. He took her to a “very horrible, dirty, Lower East Side dungeon kind of pub,” as she described it. “But he was genuinely ashamed,” she said in an interview. ‘Oh my god, this is not where I intended to bring you,’ he exclaimed. ‘Oh my god,’ I exclaimed. They both concede, though, that there was an evident attraction between them.
He proposed to her on a tree-lined carriage trip in New England after almost six years of dating. The couple spent the following few months looking for the ideal location. For herself, Platten did not want another “Instant wedding-in-a-box,” but rather “something absolutely original.” She also stated that she would want a glitzy countryside wedding.
Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, Rhode Island, provided a fantastic opportunity. They married in a traditional Jewish wedding in 2012. Before moving to their current house, a three-bedroom spread a block from the beach in Santa Monica, the couple lived in a one-bedroom condo in New York’s Battery Park City for years.
Career of Kevin
Kevin Lazan began his professional career in December 2002 as a junior agent for PuckAgency, LLC (previously SFX Hockey), where he stayed for two years before leaving in January 2005. In August 2006, he joined Railway Media, LLC as operation manager, and over the next 14 months, he established and implemented operational procedures for the start-up that supplied a national railroad passenger company with pre-loaded personal media player rental service.
He co-founded CR Media, LLC in 2006 and acted as the company’s strategy and operations manager, implementing short- and long-term growth strategies and expanding services to 43 different airport sites. He was instrumental in developing and initiating a relationship between a large children’s cable TV network and a global car rental firm for the launch of a new product offering as part of the company.
In 2008, Lazan went to school to earn an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business. He earned his bachelor’s degree in 2010 with a focus on strategy and finance. In June 2009, he joined Capgemini Consulting as a managing consultant, Strategy & Transformation. He joined Next Street as the director of NY Advisory Practice four years later.
Lazan left his lucrative position at a financial services consulting firm in January 2016 to launch The Gables, a small and cozy all-day neighborhood counter-service café that has become a popular destination for its clean Westside LA comfort food.
Estimated Net Worth
Kevin’s net worth is estimated to be close to a million dollars, based on his salary and lifestyle. He had a prosperous and long career, and he is still the CEO of The Gables today. His wife Rachel, on the other hand, is a well-known singer with a net worth of around $4 million in the music industry.
