Austin Carlile began his musical career in 2006 when he joined the band ‘Attack Attack!’ As the band’s lead singer, he published the album ‘Someday Came Suddenly’ in 2008. He departed the band in the middle of a tour the same year. Following that, he joined ‘Of Mice & Men,’ and their debut single, ‘Seven Thousand Miles for What?,’ was released. The band’s self-titled debut album was released in 2010. Carlile underwent serious heart surgery the following year, preventing him from touring with the band.
