Larissa de Macedo Machado, better known by her stage name Anitta, is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, actor, dancer, and businesswoman. She was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and at an early age she started singing in a church chorus. She took the name “Anitta” for her stage persona from the lead actress in the well-liked TV miniseries “Presença de Anita.” A producer at “Furaco 2000” liked her YouTube video when she was 17 and gave her a recording contract. Early Childhood & Life
Mauro Machado and Miriam Macedo welcomed Anitta into the world on March 30, 1993 in Rio de Janeiro. She shares an older brother named Renan Machado, who is also her artistic producer, as one of her two siblings. She is a mixed-race African-Brazilian-European.
