He is a member of the hip hop duo Big Tymers and serves as the public face and co-founder of Cash Money Records. Career of Birdman

In 1998, DJ/producer Mannie Fresh and Birdman founded the group Big Tymers. The group’s first album, How Ya Luv That, was released in 1998. The albums “I Got That Work” and “Hood Rich” were then released in 2000 and 2002, respectively. Soon after, Birdman released his debut studio album as a solo artist, simply titled “Birdman.” After Fresh quit the group in 2005, Big Tymers disbanded.

On June 21, 2005, Birdman released his second studio album as a solo artist called “Fast Money.” The next year, Lil Wayne and Birdman worked together on the album “Like Father, Like Son.” Two singles from the album, titled “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy” and “Leather So Soft” were gold-certified songs. Birdman’s third solo album, “5 * Stunna,” was released on December 11th, 2007. Hit hits from this album like “Pop Bottles,” “100 Million,” and “I Manage This.
His fourth album, “Priceless,” was released in 2009. Rich Gang: Allstars, a mixtape featuring singles from Rich Gang artists like “Love Me” by Lil Wayne featuring Future and Drake, “Bugatti” by Ace Hood featuring Ross and Future, “Started From the Bottom” by Drake, and “Champions” by Kevin Rudolf featuring Birdman, Lil Wayne, and Fred Durst, was released in 2013 by Birdman and Rich Ross. The collaboration album “Rich Gang” was also published that year.

Following that, Birdman dropped “Lifestyle,” a song with Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug. In 2014, he also released the second Rich Gang mixtape, “Rich Gang: Tha Tour Pt. The American singer collaborated with Jacquees on their mixtape, “Lost At Sea,” which was released in May 2016, two years later.

Arrests and Legal Issues

Birdman got involved in robberies and drug theft while residing in the violent Magnolia Projects. He was detained for marijuana possession when he was 18 and received a three-year term at the Elayn Hunt Correctional Facility. He spent nearly 18 months there before all allegations against him were dropped. He was then detained for marijuana possession once more in 2007.
