Famous American professional wrestler Bray Wyatt currently has a deal with WWE and competes on Raw Rooster. Along with Matt Hardy, he also happens to be a member of the reigning Raw Tag Team Champions. Bray was not a fan of wrestling as a child. He was born and reared in Florida, USA. He excelled at football and continued to play it throughout his time in school. He chose to become a wrestler after dropping out of college due to poor academic performance. He is the third family to pursue a career in professional wrestling after his father and grandfather. He was selected for the FCW, one of WWE’s development areas, after signing with the company in 2009. After that, he entered the NXT. He started his official WWE career in 2013 and entered the main WWE roster, where he quickly rose to become one of the most well-liked wrestlers. He has won the WWE Championship once with Randy Orton and twice with Luke Harper as the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. In 2017, he and Matt Hardy created a tag team and captured the Raw Tag Team Championship.
Early Youth & Life
On May 23, 1987, Windham Lawrence Rotunda, a middle-class couple, gave birth to Bray Wyatt in Brooksville, Florida. His father, grandfather, and uncles are all professional wrestlers, and his family has a very long heritage in the sport. Therefore, it was only natural that Bray and his younger brother Bo Dallas learned the ins and outs of the game as they got older.
In addition to wrestling, Bray had a strong interest in sports. He was chosen for the school football squads in large part due to his hulking build. He played football as a defensive lineman and a guard while attending Hernando High School in his hometown. But he also competed in wrestling matches while he was in school and frequently took first place. He won a state wrestling championship for his secondary school before he received his high school diploma in 2005.
After graduating from high school, he continued to play football while attending the College of Sequoias. He spent two years on the college squad, and as a sophomore offensive guard, he was recognized as an All-American. Despite having little interest in studies, his football abilities secured him a scholarship to attend Troy University.
At the moment, Bray was in high spirits and had big plans for his future as a professional football player. He played football while he was a student at Troy University. He was so preoccupied with football that his scholastic performance suffered, which caused his grades to drop. He did not have the required number of credits for a bachelor’s degree at the conclusion of his final semester. This devastated him, so he made the decision to train in grappling.
Bray Wyatt’s Career
In April 2009, with Florida Championship Wrestling, he made his professional wrestling debut under the ring name Alex Rotundo. The siblings formed a Tag Team and won the Championship in July 2009 while both brothers were competing in FCW at the time. They spent months defending the Tag Team Title before falling to Dude Busters in November 2009.
He changed his moniker to Husky Harris in June 2010 and made his NXT debut at The Nexus. He committed a villainous act on June 22 when he attacked announcer Matt Striker, just like he had the week before. By moving up to the sixth position in the second poll, he narrowly avoided being eliminated. After that, on August 9, he participated in a six-man tag team match. His team won, and he moved up the ladder to finish fourth among the six rookies in the vote that was conducted later that evening.
Due to the ongoing feud between WWE and NXT, Bray continued to make frequent cameos in WWE Raw. He returned to FCW at the beginning of 2011 wearing a hockey helmet as a ruse, but that failed, so he continued to portray Husky Harris. Bo, his brother, was involved in a long-running dispute with Lucky Cannon, Damien Sandow, and Bray. Then, in a tag team match, Bo and Bray triumphed over Sandow and Cannon.
He began an extremely renowned rivalry with Richie Steamboat in late 2011 or early 2012. After a protracted and brutal feud came to an end, Bray and his sibling once more teamed up as they pursued the Tag Team Championship. The brothers won the title in February 2012 but lost it a month later. Bray made his debut in the relaunched NXT, which was filmed at Full Sail University, in April 2012. He portrayed himself as the evil cult’s leader, more of a monster than a person.
By collaborating with Erick Rowan and Luke Harper, he helped lay the groundwork for The Wyatt Family, a professional wrestling stable in the WWE. WWE Raw teased the appearance of The Wyatt Family on the program in a few brief clips in May 2012. The Wyatt Family beat Kane in a match in July to make their debut.
They persisted in attacking wrestlers, including Justin Gabriel, Jinder Mahal, R-Truth, and Heath Slater. They interfered with John Cena’s battle against Randy Orton during the WWE Heavyweight Championship match, which led to John losing the title.
After Elimination Chamber in 2013, Bray and John Cena got into a personal conflict. He was adamant about showing that Cena’s “heroism” was only a front and that he really is a “monster” at heart. After that, Cena issued a dare to Bray for a WrestleMania match, which Bray readily accepted. Despite interference from two other Wyatt Family members, Cena prevailed in the match at WrestleMania XXX.
Because of his feuds with several performers, including Dean Ambrose, The Undertaker, and Ryback, Bray continued to be in the spotlight in 2014. In order to exact vengeance for losing a singles match on Raw, he interfered in a Royal Rumble match in June 2015 by attacking Roman Reigns specifically.
Randy Orton and Bray engaged in a rivalry in November 2017; however, on the SmackDown show from October 25, Orton stepped in to help Bray. With this action, the rivalry was put to rest, and Randy Orton joined the Wyatt Family. In the end, they formed a Tag Team and defeated Jason Jordan and Chad Gable to capture the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
Bray competed in a match to win the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber in February 2017. He triumphed over John Cena, AJ Styles, The Miz, Dean Ambrose, and Baron Corbin to claim the title. Bray’s former partner Randy Orton put a stop to his 49-day rule.
Bray beat Matt Hardy in a singles match in November 2017, and the two eventually formed a Tag Team. Late in 2017, Bray and Hardy defeated Apollo and Titus O’Neil to capture the Raw Tag Team Championship match. They triumphed in their title match against Sheamus and Cesaro.
Bray’s Individual Existence
In 2012, Bray Wyatt wed Samantha Rotunda, and the couple now has two children. Samantha, however, petitioned for divorce in 2017 and accused Wyatt of having an extramarital affair with JoJo Offerman.
