Caroline Mohr Sunshine is an actress, vocalist, dancer, and White House Press Assistant from the United States. She started her career in the show business as a child artist, performing on stage. She has appeared in productions such as ‘Annie Warbucks,’ ‘Stage Door,’ and ‘The Nutcracker.’ She started her career in commercials before shooting her first pilot for the CBS sitcom ‘Team Spitz.’ Her breakthrough came with the 2010 American family sitcom ‘Marmaduke,’ which launched her career. Youth and Adolescence

She was born on September 5, 1995, in Atlanta, Georgia, as the oldest of three children to Thom and Karen Sunshine. She grew up in Orange County, California, with her two younger siblings, Johnny and Christopher. She was drawn to the performing arts at a young age and began studying dance at the age of three.

She took on the part of Goldilocks in a kindergarten play, which was her first lead role. She and her grandmother watched all of the old Hollywood classics, and she would frequently join her father to watch Saturday morning movies.

She then joined the Orange County Children’s Playhouse. She also joined ‘South Coast Performing Arts,’ a dance school in Tustin, California, and started competing in dance. In 2010, she filmed her first pilot for the CBS comedy, ‘Team Spitz,’ in which she played the teenage daughter of high school coach Jeff Spitz, who was played by American actor, comedian, and retired officer of the United States Marine Corps Reserve, Rob Riggle.

Caroline’s performing career flourished in 2010. That same year, she portrayed Barbara Winslow in the American family comedy film ‘Marmaduke,’ based on a Brad Anderson comic strip of the same name. She rose to prominence as Barbara in ‘Marmaduke,’ which was released on June 4, 2010, and was a big commercial success. Among those who appeared in the picture were Lee Pace, Owen Wilson, George Lopez, and Emma Stone.

In 2010, she landed one of the most notable and well-known parts of her career as Tinka Hessenheffer, a competitive and flashy European exchange student on the American sitcom ‘Shake It Up.’ Tinka is depicted as the flamboyant Gunther Hessenheffer, portrayed by Kenton Duty. The characters of these odd twins are believed to be based on the brother-sister duo of Ryan and Sharpay Evans from Disney’s High School Musical film series.

Tinka first appeared as a regular character in season one of ‘Shake It Up,’ which debuted on Disney Channel on November 7, 2010. Tinka became a major character in the second season of the series, which began on September 18, 2011, and continued to appear in the third season, which began on October 14, 2012, and ended on November 10, 2013.

Caroline appeared on the Disney Channel Christmas album ‘Holidays Unwrapped,’ which was released in October 2013, and performed a cover version of the renowned Christmas song ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You,’ by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey.

Caroline voiced Alexis in the episode ‘Algae Day’ and ‘Bea Saves a Tree’ of the American cartoon television series ‘Fish Hooks’ on January 24, 2014. In the 2014 Non-Equity National Tour of ‘Bring It On the Musical,’ she played the lead part of Campbell. She then starred in a Freeform television pilot called ‘Recovery Road’ in June of that year. It was based on Blake Nelson’s book of the same name.

Caroline’s role, however, was cut from the actual series script. In the 2015 TV movie ‘Go Four Broke,’ she portrayed Tiffani Brand. Caroline played Emily Jordan in the American sports comedy-drama film ‘The Outfield,’ which starred Nash Grier, Cameron Dallas, and Joey Bragg in lead parts.

The first nine minutes of the film were shown at VidCon on July 24, 2015, and were subsequently released on video on demand by Fullscreen Films on November 10, 2015. She portrayed Sylvie Garrett in the 2017 television drama ‘Mommy I Didn’t Do It.’ She began working as an assistant at the White House in January 2018. She began working as a White House press aide for US President Donald Trump in mid-March 2018.

Her parents and two younger siblings live in Orange County, California. Caroline enjoys traveling, dancing, photography, surfing, baking, cooking, going to the ocean, rafting, and snorkeling when she is not working.
