American singer-songwriter, YouTube sensation, and social media personality Chance Perez. He currently has a connection to the boy band “In Real Life.” Perez, a California native, has been deeply passionate about music his entire life. His father, a musician who passed away when Perez was just eight years old, served as an inspiration to him. Later, he joined the crew known as The Boy Band Project. They recorded covers of some well-known songs and posted them on YouTube. Perez left the band, though, and decided to become a firefighter after the birth of his daughter. Perez and his new band The WVKE tried out for “America Got Talent” in 2016, however, they were turned down. A year later, he participated in the television program “Boy Band,” where he was chosen as one of the five finalists who would subsequently form the core of the group In Real Life. In August 2017, they issued their debut song, “Eyes Closed.”

Chance Perez’s Career

In 2016, Chance Perez and Jordan Perez, and Tyler Reardon founded the band The WVKE, and they competed on season 11 of NBC’s “America Got Talent.” They garnered praise from Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum during the audition period but criticism from Simon Cowell, which ultimately resulted in their elimination.

Perez tried out for Matador Content’s new music competition program “Boy Band” on ABC in 2017. His performance of Queen’s “Somebody to Love” immediately drew the judges’ attention, including Timbaland, Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, and Emma Bunton of the Spice Girls.

Without ever being threatened with elimination, he breezed through the tournament. Brady Tutton, Andrew Ramos, Sergio Calderon, and Michael Conor have also named the eventual champions along with Perez. After that, they joined Hollywood Records as part of the group In Real Life.

They made their debut with their first song, “Eyes Closed,” on August 24, 2017, at the live finale of Boy Band. They released the singles “Feel This Christmas,” “I Will Be Home for Christmas,” “Eyes Closed (acoustic),” and “Tattoo (‘How ‘Bout You)” throughout the course of the following several months.

Chance in Personal Life

On November 10, 1997, Perez was born in Seal Beach, an area of Orange County, California. Aspen is the name of his older sister. Perez has said that his father is his biggest source of inspiration. When Perez was a child, they resided in a modest apartment, and his father sang to him and his sister. His father passed away when he was eight years old, leaving the family in poor circumstances. He and his sister were reared solely by their mother.

Perez’s greatest love in life has always been music. When he and his buddies created their first band, The Boy Band Project, he was still in his early teens. They performed a number of songs, including “Give Me Love” by Ed Sheeran, which was uploaded to YouTube on July 24, 2014. They had previously published an original song called “Find That Girl.”

Emma Smith was the woman Perez was dating at the time. Emma became pregnant when she was 16 and he was 17. They called their daughter Brooklyn after her after she gave birth. Following that, Perez’s priorities started to shift. He earned his EMT certification and plans to work as a firefighter in the future.
