Christopher Peter Meloni is an actor from the United States who is best known for his roles in the television series ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.’ He discovered his passion for acting in college and went on to study it at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he has been in films and on television, it is his roles on the small screen that have earned him fame and a large fan base. Childhood and Adolescence

Christopher Meloni was born on April 2, 1961, in Washington, D.C., to endocrinologist Dr. Charles Robert Meloni and homemaker Cecile Meloni. He has two older brothers and sisters. Christopher Meloni’s father is of Sardinian heritage, and his mother is of French Canadian origin.

He attended St. Stephen School in Virginia for his education. He was a member of the football team at school.
He enrolled at the University of Colorado in Boulder. He finished with a history degree, but he also took several theatre classes.
