Childhood and Adolescence

Palmer was born in Melbourne, Australia, on March 26, 1954. Nancy and George Palmer, his parents, were both from the working class. His family relocated to Queensland in 1963.

St. Mary’s Primary School, Aquinas College, Southport State High School, and Toowomba Grammar School were among his schools. He majored in law at the ‘University of Queensland before dropping out in 1975.

Clive Palmer’s Career

He joined the Queensland division of the National Party of Australia in 1974. He played numerous parts and was extensively involved.

He was the National Party’s campaign director during the 1983 state election. The election was a resounding success.
Palmer started the mining firm ‘Mineralogy’ in 1984. Iron ore is their main product, and they control almost 1,000 kilometers of territory in Cape Preston.

He was the National Party’s media spokesman during the 1986 election campaign.
He bought Waratah Coal, an Australian coal mining development firm, in 2008. There was a 4.4 billion tone resource claimed at the time of purchase.

He addressed the public about his intention of creating a replica of the RMS Titanic during a news conference in 2013. The Titanic II, he continued, will be built in China and will sail from Southampton to New York City on its inaugural trip.

He has declared plans to develop a dinosaur park similar to those of ‘Jurassic Park’ in 2013. It will be erected at Palmer Coolum Resort on the Sunshine Coast.

Achievements and Awards

Palmer was named Adjunct Professor at Deakin University’s Faculty of Business and Law in 2002. He retained this position for the next four years, and during that time, he offered a range of lectures as part of his program, imparting his knowledge of business and law.

Due to his extensive experience in company management and entrepreneurship, ‘Bond University’ on the Gold Coast awarded him Adjunct Professor of Management in 2008.

Personal History and Legacy

Susan, his first wife, was someone he met at university. Before she died of cancer in 2007, they had a son and a daughter together. He had two daughters after remarrying.

Palmer lives in a villa in the ‘Palmer Coolum Resort,’ one of his resorts. He is thought to own a number of other states, including 11 in the Sovereign Islands.

He committed $100 million to medical research for indigenous peoples in Australia’s western half. The ‘Palmer Care Foundation’ is his creation and he is also its director.
