American actress, musician, and artist Emily Beth Stern. Being the eldest child of radio and television personality Howard Stern and his first wife, actress Alison Berns, has made her renowned. Emily, a native of New York, has been a devout Christian since she was a young girl. She has been fasting for Yom Kippur and taking part in family Passover Seders since she was a young girl, despite the fact that her parents are not particularly religious. Despite their differences, they both practiced Transcendental Meditation together, even when she was a young girl. When she was ten years old, she was given her mantra. After earning a theatrical degree from New York University’s Tisch School, Emily performed on stage in a number of plays, including the off-off-Broadway production of “Kabbalah” in 2005. Through the record label Tree of Life Publishing, Emily released her debut album “Birth Day” in October 2012.

Early Childhood & Life

In the wealthy community of Old Westbury in the U.S. state of New York, Emily Beth Stern was born on May 7, 1983. Howard Stern and Alison Berns, her parents, were best friends in college. They met at Boston University through a friend they had in common. Within a week of their relationship beginning, Howard claimed in a later letter, that he knew he was going to marry Alison. They got hitched at Brookline, Massachusetts’ Temple Ohabei Shalom on June 4, 1978. They were both 24 years old at the time. Debra Jennifer Stern (born May 9, 1986) and Ashley Jade Stern (born January 24, 1993) are Emily’s two younger sisters.

However, Emily has always been a devout believer of Judaism while neither Howard nor Alison were during the formative years of Emily’s upbringing. She would take part in family Passover Seders and observe the Yom Kippur fast even when she was a little child. On one occasion, Howard went so far as to say that he detested donning yarmulkes and joked that Emily’s bat mitzvah should have the theme “I hate Jews.”

Emily and her father have always shared a similar trait despite their many differences: they both engage in Transcendental Meditation. At the age of ten, Emily acquired her mantra. Everyone in Howard’s life meditates, and he said on Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” that he “don’t think I could really live without it.”
Emily was raised in the normal way for a star family. She and her sisters heard from their father frequently that everyone was watching them. He had insisted that the cautions were given for the girls’ own safety, but Emily eventually came to see it as narcissism.

Career of Emily Beth Stern

The Tisch School of the Arts at New York University awarded Emily Beth Stern a theatrical degree. She has regretted not seeking advice from her family on this matter as she did not experience professional success right away. She suffered because they had never brought it up while she was growing up.

She landed the part of Madonna in a ‘Kabbalah’ off-off-Broadway production in 2005. She consented to tint her hair black and go fully nude in order to get cast in the play. However, issues arose after the play received unimpressive reviews. Later, Emily claimed that the director, Tuvia Tenenbom, was forced by the poor ticket sales to exploit her celebrity parent’s daughter status. She said that an unapproved video of her appearing almost nude was released to advertise the show. Tenenbom responded by denying the accusations. With the aid of her father’s attorneys, Emily abandoned the production after six weeks, claiming that Tenenbom had manipulated her love of the performance for his own gain.

She converted to Orthodox Judaism in the middle of the 2000s, giving up her previously extremely busy Friday nights in favor of 20-person Shabbat dinners in an uptown apartment. She has also developed into a Torah scholar and is currently pursuing her studies at the Drisha Institute.

She released her album “Birth Day” on October 23, 2012, on the Tree of Light Publishing record label. Given Love, Come On, Hear in the Heart, Love the Child who Cries, Mirror, Remembering Love, The Fly & the Flea, Soul Songs, Zoo Za Zoo, Love Song to Demeter, and Birthday are among the 11 songs on the album.

On November 18, 2015, Emily was scheduled to have a picture exhibition at the Hadas Gallery in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The show, titled “Wells of Miriam,” would have focused on Portugal’s water-retention environment. Emily likened it to the mikveh, a Jewish immersion bath used to achieve ceremonial cleanliness. After an interview she provided to the New York Post was published on November 8th, she decided to cancel the show. It generated conflict in the family and painted her father in a bad light. The Jewish Museum of New Jersey eventually hosted the exhibition from May 1 to June 3, 2016. Emily stated in the same interview that she didn’t go out much because of her father’s emphasis on sexuality in his own line of work.
