On February 19, 1985, Haylie Duff was born in Houston, Texas. Her mother, Susan Colleen Duff, is a producer of motion pictures. She co-executive produced the 2004 film “A Cinderella Story,” produced the 2005 film “The Perfect Man,” and produced the 2006 film “Material Girls.”

Along with his father, John B. Duff, her father, Robert Erhard Bob Duff, operates a chain of convenience stores. Robert lives in Houston in order to manage the family business.
