English singer-songwriter Jake Sims is best recognized for his renditions of well-known songs. He was formerly a member of the English-Irish boy band Stereo Kicks, which was made up of The X Factor’s eliminated contestants. The X Factor is a franchise of reality television music competition shows founded by English reality television judge and producer Simon Cowell and his company SYCOtv. James Graham, Charlie Jones, Casey Johnson, Barclay Beales, Reece Bibby, Tom Mann, and Chris Leonard were among the other members of the eight-member boy band. In the eleventh season of “The X Factor” in 2014, Jake finished in fifth place and was removed along with the others. The group’s first song, “Love Me So,” which was released in 2015, was an instant hit. Jake Sims’s Career

Jake Sims developed an early interest in music and studied it to understand its intricacies. He gave his first public performance at the young age of four when he made an appearance on Michael Barrymore’s program and sang “You Are My Sunshine,” one of the most famous songs ever written by Jimmie Davis and Charles Mitchell. He ultimately began recording covers of well-known songs and uploading them to Soundcloud and iTunes in addition to his social media accounts.

He posted famous covers of songs like “Too Close,” “Cupid’s Chokehold,” “Bassline Junkie,” “Havana,” and “Dark Times,” among others. He quickly succeeded in creating his own network of fans on social media and audio streaming services. Several hundred people watched and downloaded his versions.

When he participated in the 2014 audition round of the British reality television music competition “The X Factor,” his career achieved its pinnacle. Jake performed two tracks during his audition: “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder in the room and “When the Sun Goes Down” by the English indie rock band “Arctic Monkeys” in the arena.

Along with James Graham, Charlie Jones, Casey Johnson, Barclay Beales, Reece Bibby, Tom Mann, and Chris Leonard, he was turned down at the “boot camp” level. The judges Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B, and Louis Walsh, as well as the show’s producer Simon Cowell (who was also one of the judges), believed that the boys would perform better as a group than they would individually and therefore decided to form them into a boy band.

After the band’s formation, the eight members played their first song, “Run” by Snow Patrol, to a rapturous reception from the audience and a standing ovation from the judges. After their elimination from the show, the band remained together for a year and released their first single titled ‘Love Me So’ on 21 June 2015 through James Grant Music.

After selling 15,755 copies, the song, which was a huge hit for a boy band debut, peaked at number 31 on the UK Singles Chart. It also charted at number 19 in Scotland and made its Irish debut at number 80. (IRMA). To the dismay of the band members, including Jake, they were unable to secure a singing deal with any major organization. After being together for more than a year, they made their separate ways. Since then, Jake has created his own fan base by releasing both original songs and covers on different social media and music platforms.
