When her three YouTube channels were hacked and removed in 2012, her parents, who are very supportive of her work, stood by her. The hacker also published a document online that contained a variety of personal information, including passwords, phone numbers, and addresses. Additionally, they broke into her iCloud account and deleted all of her contacts and images. She acknowledged in her autobiography that it was a difficult period in her life, one that both personally and professionally affected her. Even after the crime was reported to the police, the criminals were eventually apprehended, and the accounts were restored, Jenn continued to experience fears and nightmares.
