Jenna Bush Hager is an American journalist, novelist, teacher’s aide, and news personality. She is also known as the granddaughter of Barbara Bush and George H. W. Bush, the 41st president of the United States, and the daughter of the 43rd president of the United States, George W. Bush. Hager presently works as a journalist for NBC’s “The Today Show.” She also serves as editor-at-large for the magazine “Southern Living.” She has a University of Texas degree and has also attended New York University for a short time. She has served as a teacher’s assistant for UNICEF in four Caribbean and Latin American nations. Hager has published a few books as an author, with “Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope” being the most well-known. She currently resides with her husband and two daughters and is married to Henry Chase Hager, a businessman and the son of John H. Hager, a former chairman of the Virginia Republican Party.
Career in Teaching
At Elsie Whitlow Stokes Community Freedom Public Charter School in 2006, Jenna Bush Hager worked as a teacher’s assistant. She took a leave of absence from the school during her service to work for UNICEF’s Educational Policy Department in Latin America. She returned to the charter school after completing her internship with UNICEF.
At the moment, Hager works part-time as the reading coordinator at SEED Public Charter School in Maryland. In addition to this, she produces a monthly news article for NBC’s “Today” about education.

‘Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope’ is a book written by Jenna Bush Hager and published in 2007. This HarperCollins book details Hager’s involvement with UNICEF charities while she was an intern for the UN Children’s Fund in Latin America. In partnership with her mother, Laura Bush, she penned her second book. The children’s book, titled “Read All about It!,” was released on April 22, 2008, by HarperCollins.
