American professional basketball player Jimmy Butler III is presently a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Jimmy Butler averaged 12.0 points per game while playing 106 games for Marquette total. He was available for the 2011 NBA draft following his college graduation, and the Chicago Bulls selected him with the 30th overall selection. On December 9, 2011, he agreed to a rookie deal with the Bulls. The fourth and most current NBA lockout in league history occurred during that season. It started on July 1, 2011, lasted 161 days, and moved the commencement of the 2011–12 season from November 1 to December 25.
