Joana Pak began pursuing graphic design courses after graduation and also pursued editorial internships. She later specialized in prints and moved to Los Angeles to follow her photography ambitions. She currently owns the freelance photography firm based in California known as Jo Pakka Studio.
Relationship with Steven Yeun Joana Pak and Steven Yeun began dating in 2009. Joana was still in college when the couple began dating. Time went by, and Yeun went to Los Angeles to work on acting gigs. The couple continued dating despite being apart and spent quality time whenever they had the chance.
In 2015, Pak and Yeun were prompted by the urge to take their relationship to the next level and got engaged. They eventually tied the knot after seven years of dating on December 3, 2016, at Paramour Estate in California. At their wedding ceremony, the two wore traditional Korean clothes and invited more than 200 guests to witness their union.

Not long after the nuptials, Pak announced on her social media account that she was pregnant, posting a photo of her baby bump. She delivered a baby boy, Jude Malcolm Yeun, on March 17, 2017. Pak is now a hands-on mom and enjoys spending most of her time with her baby. She has put her career on hold temporarily because she wishes to concentrate only on her son and family for now.
