Girard wrote on Twitter after they left that she prioritized her family over fame. She also revealed in an interview with “International Business Times” that she removed her daughter from the program in response to a request for her to sign a seven-year contract in order to participate in Season 4. Arrests & Criminal Charges of Kira Girard
Kira Girard was taken into custody in 2005 on allegations of fraud and theft. Four counts of felony theft and one count of attempted theft were the allegations brought against her. Later on, it came to light that she had been involved in the illegal activity of deceiving others into purchasing Plasma HDTVs on eBay. Additionally, it was revealed that Girard had requested payments from her clients via personal checks or electronic transfers, but had never delivered the goods or reimbursed them after being questioned.
Four customers were allegedly conned by Girard into purchasing the TV sets for a total of $15,525. Ultimately, she entered a guilty plea and was given a two-year probationary term plus a $5,975 fine. When the court discovered that she had not finished any of the 400 hours of community service that she had previously been mandated to perform, it later extended her probation in 2009.
Syringes containing anabolic steroids were discovered at Girard’s then-boyfriend’s home during this time when police officers arrived with a search warrant. Girard, though, denied having anything to do with the case.
