A Career in Music

Kirshner Ball has always been drawn to music since he was a child. Beginning in seventh grade, he began belting out amazing beats and developing distinctive rhythms.

As he performed at parties or at school in random performances, friends and family noticed he had natural talent. Ball, on the other hand, never saw music as a realistic professional option for his skills.

In 2009, his uncle, Quavious Keyate Marshall, and cousin, Kiari Kendrell Cephus, encouraged him to join this hip-hop trio after being struck by his raw talent. Ball agreed, and the three of them formed the ‘Polo Club’ collective.

Quavious changed his name to Quavo, Kiari changed his name to Offset, and Krishnik changed his name to Takeoff. The trio made sporadic appearances on stage in Georgia and produced terrible songs.

Takeoff was still unconcerned about the music situation. The other two members ultimately got down with him and discussed his abilities as well as the possibilities for the future if they are successful. This served as a wake-up call for Takeoff, who focused his efforts on making high-quality music with his teammates.

Finally, in August of 2011, Polo Club released their first full-length project, Juug Season, a mixtape. In June of the following year, they released another mixtape. During this period, the group’s name was changed to Migos.

When Migos’ hit ‘Versace’ became viral in 2013, fame came knocking on Takeoff’s door. The song was well-received and reached number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States.

Drake, a Canadian rapper, remade the song and performed it at the 2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival later that year.
Migos released their mixtape ‘Y.R.N. (Young Rich Niggas)’ in the wake of the success of their debut hit record, with ‘Versace’ as the lead track.

The album got high praise from critics, with Brandon Soderberg of Spin Magazine giving it an 8 out of 10 ratings. They began by performing at high-profile events, such as the Hot 109.7 radio station’s birthday gala.

By the end of the year, Versace and Y.R.N. had been featured in a number of notable hip-hop publications, including Spin Magazine, Rolling Stone, and Pitchfork.

‘Yung Rich Nation,’ Migos’ fourth project and first full-fledged album, was released in 2015 by Takeoff and his group mates. Big celebrities like Chris Brown and Young Thug made cameo appearances on the album. The album debuted at number three on the Top Rap Album Charts after selling 150,000 copies in its first week.

Takeoff and Migos were supposed to sign a lucrative contract with GOOD Music Imprint in 2016, negotiated by Kanye West himself, however, the deal has yet to be finalized as of 2017.

End of 2016, he released the first song from their second album, ‘Bad and Boujee,’ which featured rapper Lil Uzi Vert’s voice. Takeoff’s first US chart-topper, the song soared straight to the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

The song’s music video has been seen over 400 million times on the trio’s YouTube page. Culture is a 2017 album that was released in January.

Behind the Scenes

Migos is unquestionably a family affair, with all three members being related and having grown up in the same Lawrenceville neighborhood. Takeoff’s uncle is Quevo, and Quevo’s cousin is Offset.

Kirshner Ball’s educational history is unknown, however, it is likely that he graduated from high school. He hasn’t dated anyone high-profile yet, thus there haven’t been any speculations about his dating life.

Takeoff was involved in a gunshot incident outside of Miami in March 2014, along with other Migos members. From a parallel vehicle, an unknown shooter allegedly opened fire on the hip-hop trio’s van.

From the van, someone from the Migos’ entourage also returned fire. Takeoff and his band members were mainly unscathed in the altercation, despite some of his entourage being injured.
