Marcia Clark is an American prosecutor, author, and television correspondent who served as the main prosecutor in the infamous O.J. Simpson Murder Case, in which the NFL player was tried for the murder of his ex-wife and her friend Ron Goldman. Clark, who was born in Alameda, California, received her Juris Doctor from the Southwestern University School of Law. She began her career as a prosecutor for the District Attorney of Los Angeles. The trials of Robert John Bardo, who was convicted of murdering actress Rebecca Schaeffer, and O. J. Simpson, who was convicted of murdering Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, brought her to prominence. Tina Fey was nominated for an Emmy Award for her performance in the comedy series ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ as the character. She was portrayed by Sarah Paulson in the 2016 television series ‘The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story’, for which Paulson received critical acclaim and an Emmy Award. Clark has also written a number of publications, including “Without a Doubt” and “The Competition.”

Marcia Clark was admitted to the California State Bar in 1979. She was both a private practitioner and a Los Angeles public defender. She later became a prosecutor in 1981. She gained a reputation for prevailing in numerous criminal cases due to her exemplary performance at work. After proving that he pursued and murdered television actress Rebecca Schaeffer, she sent Robert John Bardo to prison and gained notoriety.

O. J. Simpson was tried for the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in a criminal trial conducted at the Los Angeles County, Superior Court. Marcia Clark was born on August 31, 1953, in Alameda, California to Rozlyn and Abraham Kleks. Her father was a Food and Drug Administration chemist. She has an older sibling. Due to her father’s occupation, she spent the majority of her childhood traveling across the country. She enjoyed reading Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew mysteries as a child.

She graduated from Susan E Wagner Secondary School, a public secondary school in New York City. She graduated with a degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she later studied.
