As an offensive midfielder for the club “Borussia Dortmund” and the German national team, Marco Reus is a professional football player from Germany. He has had a deep love for football since he was 4 years old. His parents made the decision to maximize his potential after instantly recognizing his love of football. They continued to assist him and got him signed up with football clubs. He began playing football in 1994 with the neighborhood team Post SV Dortmund. He then started playing senior football professionally in 2006 and stayed with Rot Weiss Ahlen through 2009. ‘Borussia Mönchengladbach’ is where he currently plays. Early Childhood & Life
On May 31, 1989, Marco Reus was born in Dortmund, West Germany. He comes from an impoverished British-Russian household. Thomas Reus, his father, is English but was born and raised in Germany. Despite having Russian ancestry, Manuela Reus, his mother, was born and reared in Germany. Reus grew up with Yvonne and Melanie, two elder sisters.
Reus spent all of his leisure time as a kid playing football. Reus’s parents encouraged his intense passion for football by assisting him in joining numerous local football clubs when he was only 4 years old.
With “Post SV Dortmund,” he began his club career, and shortly after, he began to receive praise from youth coaches. His parents then registered him with “Borussia Dortmund” as a result.
Career of Marco Reus
In 1994, he began playing football with the neighborhood team Post SV Dortmund, and in 1996, he transferred to the youth division of Borussia Dortmund. He continued to play for “Borussia Dortmund” up to the summer of 2006, when he made the decision to switch to the under-19 team of “Rot Weiss Ahlen,” which became his first professional senior football club.
‘Rot Weiss Ahlen’ was Marco’s band till 2009. He played for the club’s second team, which competed in the ‘Westphalia’ league at the time, in five games, and he scored a goal in each of his first two outings. With this team, Marco made 44 appearances and contributed 5 goals.
Reus was accepted into ‘Ahlen’s first team, which competed in the German third tier at the time, the following season. He scored twice while appearing in 14 games. Marco’s first significant opportunity to demonstrate his abilities came in 2008, and he didn’t let us down. He scored four goals in the 27 games he played in.
He agreed to a four-year contract with the Bundesliga team Borussia Mönchengladbach in May 2009. He participated in the German “Bundesliga” with them. Over the course of his three years with them, he made 99 appearances, scored 37 goals, and left the team in 2012.
In 2012, Reus received his largest opportunity when he was requested to join “Borussia Dortmund,” one of Germany’s top football teams. He had previously played for the club’s youth team. Reus and the club soon agreed to a five-year, €17.1 million contract.
On July 1st, 2012, Reus joined Dortmund formally. He made an impression on the team during his first year with “Borussia Dortmund” and helped the team go to the “UEFA Champions League” finals.
Reus scored twice for Dortmund on September 29 in a 5-0 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach, propelling them to the top of the Bundesliga standings after six matches.
On October 3, he got ‘Dortmund’s’ first goal in a 1-1 away tie with ‘Premier League’ champion ‘Manchester City.’ He had never before appeared on “Champions League.”
Reus scored the opening goal for Dortmund in their 4-1 Champions League victory over AFC Ajax on November 21 at the Amsterdam Arena. Reus recorded a hat-trick in 2013. He scored against Greece in the ‘UEFA Euro 2012’ quarterfinal on June 22. He made his debut appearance for Germany in this competition.
He put on a brilliant display for “Dortmund” in the 2015–2016 Bundesliga season, scoring 12 goals. His goal total for the year was 23 goals in 43 games towards the end of the campaign. One of his team’s best series performances occurred during the season.
Marco played in fewer games over the following few seasons, but his performance remained strong. He participated in 30 games throughout the course of the following three Bundesliga seasons and scored 15 goals, which is thought to be above-average in such a strong league.
On August 11, 2009, Marco Reus made his debut for Germany’s under-21 team against Turkey. He advanced to the senior level and played his first match for Germany against Malta in May 2010. He appeared in 19 games for the German national team in all, scoring 7 goals.

So far, Marco Reus has been in two partnerships. 2009 saw him dating German TV host Caroline Bohs. Despite their 2013 breakup, they are still close friends. In December 2015, Reus subsequently started dating German model Scarlett Gartmann.
Tomá Rosick, a current member of “Arsenal,” played for “Borussia Dortmund” for six seasons, from 2001 to 2006, and was an important player for “Dortmund” before moving to “Arsenal,” according to Reus.
