American entrepreneur and reality television star Mimi Faust. She gained the most notoriety for her participation in the reality series “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.” She was an unorthodox and disturbed youngster growing up in Virginia, United States. The fact that her mother had withheld the information that the man Mimi believed to be her father was not actually her biological father had damaged their relationship. Her mother joined the ‘Church of Scientology,’ a highly divisive religion, when she was six years old. Little Mimi was branded a freeloader and banished from the church when she refused to do any labor for it. She was 13 at the time. She eventually made contact with her biological father, staying with him until he passed away. She began her career in the late 1990s by making appearances in the music videos of artists like Kelly Price and Jay Z. In 2012, she and Stevie J, her ex-boyfriend and the father of her kid, joined the cast of the reality series “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” on VH1. She quickly gained a following among American TV viewers. ‘Keep It Clean Inc.’ is the name of the cleaning business she also owns.

Early Childhood & Life

Oluremi Fela James, better known as Mimi Faust, was born in Newport News, Virginia, on January 3, 1972. She struggled to get along with Olaiya Odufunke, the single mother who raised her. With her sister and brother, Mimi shared a childhood.

The mother of Mimi was a devout woman. The family relocated to Atlanta shortly after Mimi was born in search of improved employment prospects. Mimi’s mother joined the “Church of Scientology” when she was six years old.
Mimi was an exceptionally imaginative child who excelled in school. She had a lifelong passion for the arts like acting and singing. She never had the opportunity to fully develop her abilities though because her mother didn’t give a damn about what her kids were interested in learning or doing.

Finally, at the age of 13, Mimi came to the conclusion that she could not adhere to the Scientology’s regulations and began yearning for a life of her own. She was also seen as a freeloader because she did nothing to advance the church’s goal. The church pressed her to sign a contract, but she declined. Then she was banished from the faith. She then moved out and began living alone.

She soon discovered that the man she considered her father was not her actual father and that she was the product of an extramarital relationship. Mimi traveled to meet her father after learning who he was. He made his home in New York as an artist. She soon made contact with him again. Mimi and her father remained close until his passing in 2014.

Career of Mimi Faust

Early in the 1990s, Mimi moved to Los Angeles and had an appearance in a music video. She wanted to launch her own company and had never considered becoming a celebrity.

She appeared in several music videos thanks to a stroke of luck and her attractive looks and easy charm. She made appearances in a number of well-known music videos in the late 1990s, including Kelly Price’s “It’s Gonna Rain” and Pharrell Williams’ “Frontin.” Her major break came with “Frontin,” which also starred supermodel Lanisha Cole and well-known rapper Jay Z.

She began saving money in the early 2000s and launched her own cleaning business, Keep it Clean Inc.
When she was asked to take part in the upcoming reality series “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” her life was forever altered in 2012. Her ex-boyfriend Stevie J was also a member of the show’s stellar cast. They were two of the show’s most well-liked participants.

Several struggling Atlanta rappers and singers were featured on the reality show, which detailed their problems. Their wives and girlfriends had a part in the success tales of their partners as part of the framework of the show. Mimi continued to appear in successive seasons of the show because it was so popular.

She had an appearance on “Stevie J & Joseline: Go Hollywood” in 2016. On the program, she acted as herself. The next year, she participated in a different reality program called “Leave It to Stevie,” which starred Stevie J.
Mimi has been attempting to launch her own children’s clothing company. Her daughter served as the source of her motivation for the same.

The Haunting Past of Mimi Faust

In October 2017, Mimi Faust made an appearance on the program “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” and shared some spooky details about her upbringing.

Mimi’s mother neglected her kids who were fighting for a better life as she devoted herself to Scientology. When Mimi was 8 years old, she witnessed her mother selling all of their possessions to raise money for the church. The household was on the verge of becoming bankrupt. On the little of their property that was still there, the kids managed to survive.

Soon after, her mother committed to a billion-year contract with ‘Sea Org,’ the Los Angeles-based Scientology main office. Olaiya took her children to Los Angeles along with her despite their protests.

The children’s life deteriorated there. They had to eat their meals in the cafeteria, which had abhorrent flavor and nutrition, and were compelled to reside in a minuscule space with bunk beds. The place’s rules barred their mother from seeing them for more than two hours each day, so she too abandoned them.

When Mimi, then 13 years old, left the church, her mother did not want to know where she was going. After completing her coursework at the “Mace-Kingsley” school, a Scientology institution, Mimi headed to a friend’s residence.
