Mrunmayee Lagoo is an Indian cinema, television, and theater actor, as well as an assistant director and script supervisor. She is the daughter of late actress Reema Lagoo. She is well-known for her roles in Hindi and Marathi films and plays. She began acting in Marathi, Hindi, and English theatrical plays when she was young, as she was born into a family of actors. She ultimately made her way to the big screen, starring in Marathi films including ‘Bayo,’ ‘Saatchya Aat Gharat,’ ‘Mukkam Post London,’ and ‘Doghat Tisra Aata Sagala Visara,’ the first of which garnered her a ‘Zee Gaurav Puraskar.’ She made her Bollywood debut in the drama film ‘Hello Zindagi’ in 2010. Mrunmayee Lagoo, a multitalented performer, completed her education and then followed her parents into the entertainment sector. She began her acting career in Marathi cinema, winning the ‘Zee Gaurav Puraskar’ for her work in ‘Bayo’ in 2007. She continues to act in Marathi films such as ‘Mukkam Post London’ in 2007, ‘Doghat Tisra Aata Sagala Visara’ in 2008, and ‘Saatchya Aat Gharat’ in 2009.

Mrunmayee Lagoo was born to actors Vivek Lagoo and Reema Lagoo at Dr Shah Maternity Home in Mumbai. Her mother, a well-known Hindi and Marathi film, television, and theatre actress, was well-known for portraying the mother of the hero or heroine in a number of blockbuster films. Her father is a well-known Marathi theater actor, and both of her parents were bank employees. Her mother, Nayan Bhadbhade, changed her name to “Reema Lagoo” after marrying Vivek Lagoo in 1978, two years after they first met in 1976. Her parents divorced after a few years of separation, but reunited in 2014 for a Hindi play called ‘Doorsa Silsila.’

On May 18, 2017, Reema Lagoo died of heart arrest.
