Myles Erlick is a well-known Canadian actor, dancer, and singer who is best recognized for his part in the teen drama ‘The Next Step.’ He had professional acting, dance, and music instruction from an early age because his mother owned and maintained an acting academy. He has been dancing and singing since he was a child. When he was three years old, he became interested in acting and enrolled in his mother Franci Nicassio’s Stars Academy for the Performing Arts. In his early years, his mother served as his acting coach.

Myles had through a long and arduous audition process for BETM. He first auditioned when he was 10 years old, in early 2009. He was the youngest of ten boys that auditioned that day during an open audition in Toronto.

He didn’t hear from the BETM creative department for a long time after the audition. Finally, he received a call from Nora Brennan, a children’s casting agent, inviting him to audition for Billy Elliot once more. The audition lasted 12 hours across two days this time.

He was then invited to New York for five more days of tryouts, during which he had a grueling voice, dance, gymnastics, and acting auditions.

He eventually received positive news from the BETM team after a long wait and was offered the most important responsibility in his career to date.

With his mother and brother, he flew to Chicago in July 2010. He then went through three months of intensive training and rehearsals to prepare for the role.

Singing, jazz, tap, gymnastics, ballet, choreography, script memorizing, and speaking and singing in a northern England Geordie dialect were all part of his training.

Billy Elliot rapidly became a hit for Myles Erlick. The show was soon transported to Broadway, one of the world’s most famous stages.

Erlick made his Broadway debut on September 24, 2011, in the role of Billy, which he played 14 times until the show closed on November 13, 2011. He played Billy a total of 89 times in Chicago, Toronto, and New York.
