On September 21, 1994, in the Football League Cup, his side played Port Vale in his first professional game. The United won the game by a score of 2-1. Scholes himself tallied both goals.
After three days, he played against Ipswich Town in his league début. Scholes played well and even got a goal as United lost 3-2. Throughout the season, he maintained a consistent level of play and contributed with several goals for the squad.

Scholes continued to play for the club, and he had a stellar 1995–1996 season. In all events, he totaled 14 goals scored. His outstanding achievement in the 1996–97 season earned him a Premier League Winners medal. He was crucial to Manchester United’s triumph in the Premier League, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League in 1998-1999.

Up until the time he declared his retirement in 2011, he kept playing for United. He had already given his squad 102 goals in total up until that point.
