Peter Gunz’s Career

Peter Gunz began his career in the early 1990s when he and Sean “Lord Tariq” Hamilton created a hip-hop rhyming combo. His upbringing in the Bronx greatly influenced his approach to music, as it did for many other African-American artists.

In 1996, they made their debut on Whodini’s album ‘Six’ with the track ‘Can’t Get Enough.’ 1998 marked the release of the duo’s debut and only album, ‘Make it Reign,’ which featured the platinum-selling single ‘Deja Vu.’ The partnership separated the following year, and Peter Gunz pursued an unsuccessful solo career that ended in 1999.

However, he collaborated well with musicians such as Big Pun, Mariah Carey, and KRS-One.
Following the conclusion of his rapping career, Peter Gunz made multiple guest appearances on television shows as himself. Sons of a Gun (2008), Funk Flex Full Throttle (2011), and Afraid of the Dark (2012) featured him (2014).

Peter Gunz, a not-so-common name in the modern hip-hop business, re-entered the public eye when he began appearing as himself on the reality television series ‘Love & Hip Hop’ (2013–present).

During the 2017 season of ‘Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars,’ he attempted to save his marriage with Amina Buddafly despite having cheated on her with ex-girlfriend Tara Wallace. Recently, he has been attempting to expand his business to include music production and assisting his son Cory’s growing rap career.

Disputes and Scandals

Peter Gunz has, to say the least, led an eventful life. He was in a relationship with Tara Wallace until he cheated on her with his future wife, Amina Buddafly. He was videotaped on an episode of “Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars” pleading with his wife not to leave him in response to public criticism.
