Pronounced “scarlord,” Scarlxrd is a British rapper who began his career as a “YouTuber” and is most recognized for his unique musical compositions. Scarlxrd, formerly known as “MazziMaz,” creates tracks by fusing heavy metal and trap music. He began his singing career as “Myth City’s” lead vocalist in a metal band. His rap career took a turn for the better when the music video for his tune “Heart Attack” garnered over 40 million views. He began his career as a “YouTuber” by posting comedic vlogs. Early Life & Childhood
On June 19, 1994, in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England, Marius Listhrop was born. Claire, his younger sister, was there for him growing up.
He was a kickboxer when he was younger. He majored in media production in college before deciding to pursue a career in music.
He was influenced by Missy Elliot, Nelly, and Eminem when he was younger. He went on to say afterwards that “Linkin’ Park” and “Rage Against the Machine” had inspired him to form his own band.
Early Professional Life of Scarlxrd
In April of 2012, Marius launched his YouTube channel, TheMazziMaz. That was only when he was a teenager.
In his bedroom, he made vlogs, which he then posted to his channel. Most of his videos were made with humor in mind.
The title of his debut video was “Ask Maz.” One of the most popular videos from his initial channel is the one titled “Epic Fries Challenge.”
In order to promote his channel, he also worked with other “YouTubers” Jake Boys, Sam Pepper, and Casper Lee. His fans referred to him as the “super-smiley YouTuber.”

He wore the mask because he wanted to distance himself from his previous “YouTuber” persona. His mask is based on the “Tokyo Ghoul” manga series from Japan.
In May 2017, he dropped the music video for “Chain$aw.” A week later, he unveiled the music video for “King, Scar.”
In addition, 2017 was a turning point in his career as the year he released the music video for his hit song “Heart Attack.” When the video was released on June 23 of that year, it became popular right away.

May 2018 saw the release of his sixth studio album, “Dxxm,” under the reputable label “Island Records.” Singles from the album included “A BRAINDEAD Civilizatixn” and “We Waste Time FADED.”
He also appeared on “Battered Bruised & Bloody,” Carnage’s second studio album. He also had a performance at the Leeds and Reading Festivals in 2018.
