SmokePurpp is an American rapper and record artist from Florida. He made his debut in the lo-fi rap scene in 2015 via the online audio distribution site SoundCloud. He began as a producer in high school and began rapping after being ineffective in that line of work. As a self-avowed marijuana and Xanax addict, his songs frequently contain allusions to drug use. Smokepurpp has revealed that a sequel to his mixtape ‘Deadstar’ is in the works. The sequel is tentatively titled ‘Deadstar 2’ and has no set release schedule. There have been leaks of tunes and lyrics allegedly from various singles on the mixtape, but Smokepurpp has yet to confirm that these leaks are genuine.

On December 25, 2017, a song named ‘Distance’ was leaked on SoundCloud, claiming to be from the ‘Deadstar 2’ mixtape. In an interview with Canadian music journalist ‘Nardwuar’ in March 2018, he revealed a new project. The new endeavor is a mixtape called ‘Sound of Space,’ and the release date has yet to be determined.
