The Career of Song

Song Kang-ho made his stage debut in 1991’s ‘Dongseung.’ In 1996, he made his big-screen debut in the film “The Day a Pig Fell into the Well.” He made the films ‘Green Fish’ and ‘No. 3’ the following year. His outstanding performance in “No. 3” earned him his first acting award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards. The South Korean actor then starred in the film ‘Shiri’ as Lee Jang-Gil.

In the year 2000, he landed his first leading part in the film ‘The Foul King.’ Song Kang-ho acted in the film ‘Joint Security Area’ the same year. He earned many ‘Best Actor honors for his work in this film at the 38th Grand Bell Awards, 3rd Director’s Cut Awards, Deauville Asian Film Festival, and 1st Busan Film Critics Awards.
