American singer, guitarist, and composer Trace Dempsey Cyrus is currently a member of the pop group Metro Station, which he founded with Mason Musso. This 28-year-old has succeeded in establishing himself outside the shadows of his famous siblings Miley and Billy Ray. He has always been drawn to music and spent his summer vacations traveling with Billy Ray as he gave concerts across the country. He dropped out of “La Caada High School” in 2006 before receiving his diploma and landed a job at a Burbank, California, mall. Billy Ray’s CD “Wanna Be Your Joe” included the song “Country Music Has the Blues,” which Cyrus co-wrote. He has also worked on movies like “The House Bunny” (2008) and “Fragments” (2008) with Miley and people like Stitches, Lancifer, and Zach Van Dyke. At the age of 18, Cyrus had his first tattoo—”Songs of Victory” scrawled over a bird’s wings on his chest—and the collection grew from there. His upper torso is now almost entirely covered in tattoos honoring his family and Christian symbols, and the collection is constantly growing.
Career of Trace Cyrus
Trace On the ‘Hannah Montana’ set in 2006, Cyrus and Musso initially spoke. They decided to become a band after quickly realizing their shared musical interests. As a keyboardist, synthesist, and bassist, Blake Healy was added. Musso assumed the lead vocals and rhythm guitar duties, and Cyrus contributed lead guitar and vocals. After the group’s song “Seventeen Forever” was posted on their “MySpace” Music page, Anthony Improgo joined the group as the drummer. Soon after, the trio agreed to a contract with “Columbia Records.” Their self-titled debut album’s track “Shake It” peaked in the Top Ten of the Billboard Hot 100. After the band disbanded in 2010, Cyrus launched his solo career with the “Ashland High” project. The band reformed in 2014 and released their second studio album, “Savior,” along with the single “Love & War.”
Disputes and scandals
Being a Cyrus family member virtually by default entails its fair share of scandals and gossip, and Trace is no exception. He was then dating actress Brenda Song, who revealed in 2011 that she was expecting a child with him. All were later seen leaving a hospital in tears, which sparked suspicions that they had chosen to get an abortion or that they had experienced a miscarriage, all of which were swiftly denied. In an Instagram post that has since been removed, Song wrote, “I normally never speak of my personal life, but I’d want to clear up some allegations, four years later. There were speculations that I was expecting and/or suffered a miscarriage a few years back. Just let it be known that the rumors were unfounded. Song clarified further, saying, “They were just fabrications and lies. I regret not addressing this earlier and the ongoing harm that these lies have done to @TraceCyrus. Despite the fact that we are no longer together, I hope he would forgive me and I only have the greatest wishes for him. Naturally incensed, Cyrus said, “Yes they were lies THAT U MADE UP and told me, my entire family, and all our friends.”
