Childhood & Early Life
Tracey was born on August 6, 1967, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States. In the mid-1990s, she attended the California College of Arts and Crafts. Later, she enrolled in Drexel University for a graphic design course. Some sources indicate that she also studied business at Drexel. After finishing her studies, she began her career as a graphic designer. Tracey spent a significant amount of time working as a graphic designer. In the years that followed, she took on various other roles. After earning her degree in veterinary science, she spent time at the Bronx Zoo before establishing ‘Moomah the Magazine.’ Originally, it was started as Moomah Café, a gathering place for families in lower Manhattan. The front part operated as a café, while the back was transformed into a children’s enrichment center. Although the hub eventually closed, its legacy lives on through ‘Moomah the Magazine.’
In recent years, Tracey and her family have become involved with Farm Sanctuary. To honor Tracey and Stewart’s support, Farm Sanctuary named two rescued sheep after them. The family acquired a $4 million farm in New Jersey, which provides shelter for many rescued farm animals. On October 20, 2015, Tracey released her children’s book, ‘Do Unto Animals: A Friendly Guide to How Animals Live, and How We Can Make Their Lives Better,’ published by Artisan. The book features over 300 color illustrations by artist Lisel Ashlock and has received positive critiques. All earnings from this book are donated to Farm Sanctuary.
