Career of Fine Brothers

In 2000, The Fine Brothers produced a live action feature that was shown at numerous comedy film festivals. They went on to win the “Young Film- Maker Award,” but they soon realized that the internet offered more potential for success than pursuing a break in Hollywood.

In addition to publishing live action sketches and comedy pieces on platforms like MySpace, The Fine Brothers published their first web video in 2004. They started their primary YouTube channel, The Fine Bros, on June 4th, 2007, and it is currently known as FBE. Their first videos were of the sophisticated social satirical variety. Later, they started a second channel called “TheFineBros2” on May 14, 2009, and a third channel called “React” on July 22, 2014. Currently, the FBE operates as a fully formed studio, network, and media firm that creates ten serialized series every week for YouTube, television, and digital platforms. The channel creates interactive, “React,” animated, sketch, and scripted video content.

As of February 11th, 2017, the FBE had more than 15 million users and a $10 million projected net worth.

There are about 0.7 million subscribers to the “The FBE2” channel. In FBE2, they have revealed the voice over recording sessions alongside the related animation videos in videos like “BEHIND THE VOICES – R RATED FROZEN” and “BEHIND THE VOICES.”

The Fine Brothers air behind-the-scenes and news excerpts from their podcasts “All We Know” on FineBros2. The “React” channel broadcasts programs including well-known actors (adults, children, seniors, and teenagers) from earlier React videos. On October 16, 2010, they posted the first episode of “Kids React” to their YouTube account.

They later posted “React” videos made by other YouTubers and celebrities. Some of these videos include “College Kids React to Fantastic Beasts Trailer (Harry Potter Wizarding World)” and “Elders React To Andy’s Coming Challenge.” Other viral videos include “Kids React to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Trailer” and “College Kids React to Obama Fail” and “Twin Rabbits” and “Snickers Halloween.” The television show “React to That” by The Fine Brothers and actor, television, and radio personality Nick Cannon premiered on Nickelodeon on December 15, 2014. The segments on this reality show were “Finish the Story,” “Challenge,” “Which is…”, “Don’t Smile Challenge,” “Real or Fake,” “Remix,” and “What Was Your Favorite,” which featured thoughts from viewers of various age groups on popular YouTube videos. Together with Marc Summers Productions, they created and hosted the TV comedy reality series “Six Degrees of Everything,” which aired on TruTV on August 18, 2015. For ABC, they created the “Superfan Suite: PLL” episode of the popular series “Pretty Little Liars,” which aired on August 11th, 2015.

The brothers have worked on writing, directing, and producing online videos with other YouTube stars like ShayCarl, Shane Dawson, PewDiePie, and KassemG as well as major channels like Smosh. On their “React” channel, they later added videos of the actors responding to video games. Their YouTube interactive videos’ popular advertising significantly increase their overall revenue. Ford and Comedy Central have both sponsored the FBE. With Mandeville Films, The Fine Brothers devised and produced the online series “SING IT,” a humorous look at singing competitions, which had its YouTube Red debut on May 25, 2016.

Other Businesses of Fine Brothers

They are well-known for their “Spoiler” YouTube uploads, in which they reveal details about a wide range of subjects, including movies, video games, and novels. The “Spoiler series, 100 Movie Spoilers in 5 Minutes – (Movie Endings Ruined),” “Spoiler series, Doctor Who in 6 Minutes,” and “Spoilers of the first 7 Harry Potter films” are some of the most watched videos on YouTube.

Their program, “Lost- What Will Happen Next,” has more than 19 episodes and attracted a large audience. It became the FBE Channel’s longest-running program before ending on November 1st, 2010. This television series, which featured made-up characters from “Star Wars” and “Avatar,” was mostly a satire of “Lost.”

Controversies of Fine Brothers

Fans will be allowed to make their own reaction videos using a licensing system dubbed “React World,” according to The Fine Brothers. In exchange for a cut of the profits, those who held the license received creative and production direction, including the right to use pertinent assets, format structures, and visuals created by the Brothers. As a result, they sought to trademark the word “React.” Other YouTubers and followers reacted negatively to this, believing that the Fine Brothers were trying to prevent those who weren’t linked with them from making their “React” videos. Additionally, individuals who use the phrase “React” in their movies would be required to pay a 30% license charge under their licensing structure. Due to this announcement, the FBE channel’s subscriber base drastically reduced, and as a result, they stopped airing the program.

Behind the Scenes

Rafi Fine was born on June 9, 1983, and Benny Fine was born on March 19, 1981, to Jewish parents Yehuda Fine and Ellie J. Fine in Brooklyn. One of their React films, “Elders React to Ghost Elevator Prank,” featured their father, a writer, speaker, and educator. They have a Democratic mother. Rafi and Benny both have degrees. Rafi, who holds a degree in film studies, first enrolled at Dickson College before switching to Hunter College. Their older sister, Dorah Fine, is a voice actress and a teacher of Hebrew and Judaic studies.

Benny started recording interviews with members of his Jewish community on tape when he was still a pre-adolescent (later, he switched to the family camcorder), and Rafi soon began to do the same. By the time they graduated, they had produced a few short films with action figures from “Star Wars” and “Thundercats,” which they had shown to family and friends. They videotaped their responses, which served as the basis for their initial “React” videos.
