On August 6, 2002, in Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines, Bailey Thomas Cabello May was born. He has a British father named Matthew May and a Filipino Cebuana mother named Vanessa Cabello-May. His parents were both cruise ship singers. Jordan and Maya Luiza, his brother and sister, are siblings. May is a dual citizen of the Philippines and the United Kingdom.

At the age of 4, May moved to Norwich, England, with his family. He made vacation trips to the Philippines. He attended Notre Dame High School in Norwich. He became a contestant on “Pinoy Big Brother: 737” in 2015. In 2015, he appeared on “ASAP” (All-Star Sunday Afternoon Party), the longest-running Filipino musical variety show on ABS-CBN, and “It’s Showtime,” a Philippine noontime variety program.

In March 2016, he and Garcia co-wrote the song “O Pag-ibig,” which they both recorded. Jack Rufo and Honlani Rabe wrote the music. For the 2016 Himig Handog song contest, May and Garcia performed the song.
