Samantha Karen Fox was born in Mile End, London, to John Fox and Carole Wilken. Her parents were devout Christians, and she was raised from an early age with firm Christian beliefs.

She and her three siblings Vanessa, Frederica, and Frankie grew up in a middle-class family of market traders.

She was interested in theatre from an early age and attended St. Thomas More RC School in Haringey before enrolling in the specialist theatre school, Anna Scher Theatre School, at the age of five.

In 1983, she and her band, ‘S.F.X,’ released their debut album, ‘Rockin’ With My Radio/My Old Man. The following year, Lamborghini Records released their second album, ‘Aim To Win/17 and Holding’.

She worked as a pin-up girl for ‘The Sun’ and signed a two-year contract with the newspaper, earning approximately 2000 Sterling Pounds per week. However, other reports stated that she had signed a five-year contract. She has won numerous awards as a popular ‘Page 3’ girl.

After leaving ‘The Sun’ at the age of 20, she released her debut pop album, ‘Touch Me’, in 1986. The album was certified gold by the RIAA and charted on the UK and US music charts.

In 2005, she released her follow-up album, ‘Angel with an Attitude,’ on her own label, ‘Fox Records.’ Four years later, in the United States, her first three albums were reissued with bonus tracks.
