Yaki Kadafi was a well-known American rapper who co-founded the rap groups Dramacydal and Outlawz. As a singer, he recorded ‘Son Rize Vol. 1’ as a solo effort and ‘Still I Rise’ with Outlawz (neither was released during his lifetime). Throughout his career, the singer had also made several guest appearances. He appeared on numerous albums, including as ‘Me Against The World,’ ‘The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory,’ ‘Suge Knight Represents: Chronic 2000,’ ‘Better Dayz,’ ‘Tupac Resurrection,’ ‘All Eyez on Me,’ ‘Until the End of Time,’ and ‘Pac’s Life,’ to mention a few. On November 10, 1996, the body of Kadafi, whose parents were members of the renowned ‘Black Panther Party,’ was discovered in the staircase of an apartment building. In 1994, Yaki Kadafi, Napoleon, and 2Pac formed the group Dramacydal and appeared on the album Me Against The World’ by 2Pac. After this, he, 2Pac, and Hussein Fatal created the rap trio Outlawz and finally released the album ‘Still I Rise’ in 1999.

In his musical career, the American rapper had multiple guest appearances. Yaki Kadafi’s Personal Life

Yaki Kadafi was born as Yafeu Akiyele Fula on October 9, 1977, in Bronx, New York, the United States to Black Panther Party members Sekou Odinga and Yaasmyn Fula, along with 2Pac’s mother Afeni Shakur. At the age of four, Yaki’s father was arrested and accused of multiple counts of attempted murder.

Kadafi was raised with his seven siblings by his mother Yaasmyn, whose surname he later acquired. Kadafi and 2Pac developed a tight childhood friendship and spent most of their youth in the same household.

Yaki Kadafi was discovered dead in a stairway of an apartment building in Orange, New Jersey, on November 10, 1996. He left a mother and two girls behind. He had been shot once by the cousin of fellow performer Napoleon, who was eventually captured and sentenced to seven to eight years in prison.
