American singer Mara Justine appeared in Season 9 of the reality television program “America’s Got Talent.” The top 12 Final round is when she was ultimately eliminated. Justine, a native of New Jersey, started signing very early in life, and her brothers were always her strongest supporters. She first made an appearance in episode five of “America’s Got Talent,” where she performed “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” earning a “yes” from each of the four judges. Mara Justine received vocal training from renowned voice coach Sal Dupree, who also trained Tiffany Evans, the overall winner of Star Search, Lou Gazarra, a finalist on American Idol’s second season, and Bianca Ryan, the first-season winner of AGT. Justine was described as “wonderful and something special” by Dupree in an interview with “The Press of Atlantic City”.

On the fifth episode of “America’s Got Talent” in 2014, she performed an audition at the age of 11. She received “yes” votes from all four judges while singing Jennifer Hudson’s “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”: Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel. She was sent to the Kid Singers category during Judgement Week, where she sang Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing,” to the acclaim of all the judges. She then advanced to the quarterfinals when she performed “Unconditionally” by Katy Perry. She qualified for the semifinals after receiving all of the judges’ votes.

She performed Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway” during the first week of the semifinals, garnering a standing ovation from all the judges. Despite not placing in the top four, she won the Snapple Save by receiving more online votes than her rivals, which allowed her to advance to the finals.

She chose to sing Pink’s “Perfect” in the Top 12 Finals, earning yet another round of applause from the judges. The sound recording had a problem, though, and the performance had an echo that the audience at home could hear. This ultimately led to her being eliminated, despite her excellent performance.
Justine just participated in the ‘American Idol’ season 16 auditions. In March 2018, the unsettling episode is scheduled to premiere.
