He has won the titles of “World Champion” three times, “Tag Team Champion” twelve times, “Intercontinental Champion” twice, and “Money in the Bank” once. He was first introduced as the terrifying half-brother of ‘WWE’ superstar ‘The Undertaker.’ He and his half-brother “The Undertaker” were collectively referred to as the “Brothers of Destruction.” He is one of the most well-known wrestlers from the ‘Attitude Era’ and has competed against numerous WWE superstars, including ‘The Rock,’ ‘Steve Austin,’ ‘Edge,’ ‘Chris Jericho,’ ‘Big Show,’ and many more. Glenn is a politician, businessperson, and actor.

Early Childhood & Life

In a ‘US Air Force’ household, Kane was born Glenn Thomas Jacobs in Torrejon de Ardoz, Spain, on April 26, 1967. His parents initially lived in Spain but eventually relocated to the US.

In Missouri, Glenn grew up close to St. Louis. He studied at ‘Truman State University’ and graduated with a degree in English literature.

Earlier Years

In 1992, Glenn made his professional wrestling debut in St. Louis, Missouri, with the ‘CSWA’. In the ring, he went under the name “Angus King.”

He afterward relocated to the South to try his luck in the “USWA,” where he played the role of “Doomsday.” He competed in “SMW” as “Unabomb” and together with Al Snow held the “SMW Tag Team Championship.”

Additionally, Jacobs briefly held the “USWA Heavyweight Championship.” In 1993, while competing under the ring name “Bruiser Mastino,” he lost to “Sting” in the sole “World Champion Wrestling” (WCW) bout he ever participated in.

In 1994–1995, Jacobs earned a spot in the “World Wrestling Council” (WWC), where he competed against “Invader #1.”

Career of Kane

On February 20, 1995, Jacobs made his ‘World Wrestling Federation’ (WWF) debut under the ring name ‘Mike Unabomb.’ He won a bout against “Reno Riggins” on “Raw.”

But on June 26, 1996, he made his first appearance on television on “Raw” as “Isaac Yankem,” a private dentist hired by Jerry Lawler to remove Bret Hart from the “WWE” ring. On August 15, 1996, Jacobs faced Hart in his professional debut and lost to him by count-out.

In September 1996, he was reintroduced under the alias “Diesel,” teaming up with Rick Bognar, who was then known as “Razor Ramon.” He last made an appearance at the “1997 Royal Rumble” with “Ramon” as “Diesel,” but he later returned as “Kane,” a ring moniker that helped make him a “WWE” superstar.
The Undertaker’s long-lost half-brother, played by Jacobs, entered “WWE” to fight him. It was made public by The Undertaker’s former manager, Paul Bearer, after his failed attempt to reconcile with Undertaker after a protracted period of animosity.

Then, Bearer revealed to the world “The Undertaker’s” huge secret. He made ‘Taker’ feel bad by equating his injured face with the former’s childhood house, which ‘Taker’ had unintentionally burned down. With the exception of Kane, who managed to survive with a burned face, This fire claimed the lives of his family.

On October 5, 1997, at “Badd Blood: In Your House,” Jacobs faced Shawn Michaels in his first match as “Kane.” His lengthy hair and clothes, which complimented his huge build, were crimson and black.
Since “Kane” is family, “The Undertaker” first hesitated to compete against him, but after Kane cost him the “WWF Championship,” he accepted to compete at “WrestleMania XIV.” ‘Taker’ defeated Kane, but their feud lingered for a while.

After defeating “The Undertaker” on the June 1 episode of “Raw,” he rose to the position of top contender for the “WWF Championship.” After defeating “Stone Cold Steve Austin” at the “King of the Ring,” he was awarded the championship.

He joined forces with ‘X-Pac’ to form a tag team, became a member of ‘D-Generation,’ and found love with ‘Tori’ in 1998. He defeated Tori and X-Pac at “WrestleMania 20,” but they betrayed him.
After being defeated by “Steve Austin,” Kane set a then-record at the 2000 “Royal Rumble” by eliminating 11 wrestlers. He later finished second. In 2001, “Kane” and “The Undertaker” battled alongside “Edge and Christian,” “Rikishi and Haiku,” and many more wrestlers as the “Brothers of Destruction.”

He defeated “Triple H” to earn the titles of “Intercontinental Champion” and “Grand Slam Champion,” respectively. Before choking-slamming his then-Tag Team partner, “Rob Van Dam,” in 2003, Kane took off his recognizable mask.

Fans grew extremely fond of his 2004–2005 tale with ‘Lita,’ whom he married and then impregnated. Lita experienced a miscarriage as a result of a mishap in the ring.

When ‘Lita’s’ real-life lover and ‘WWE’ superstar, ‘Edge,’ intervened in her affair with Matt Hardy, the feud was put to a stop. He won the “World Heavyweight Championship” in 2010 by defeating “Rey Mysterio” and cashing in his “Money in the Bank” bag.

He also became the first wrestler to ever win the World Heavy Weight Championship, the ECW Championship, and the WWE Championship. On March 19, 2018, he made his most recent appearance on “Raw,” where he choke-slammed John Cena after the latter acknowledged Cena’s challenge to battle “The Undertaker” at the upcoming “WrestleMania.”

Jacobs has also had appearances in a number of other films, including “MacGruber,” “See No Evil,” “See No Evil 2,” and “Countdown.” Additionally, he and his wife are the owners of The Jacobs Agency, an insurance provider.

He also had an appearance on a popular television episode of “Smallville.” Additionally, in 1999, he appeared in fourteen issues of a comic book based on “The Undertaker.”

He has also won the “World Tag Team” championship 12 times with different teams. In 2010, he also triumphed in the “Money in the Bank” competition.

In total, he has won 18 championships throughout his time with the “WWE.” In 2011, the “Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) 500” list of the top 500 singles wrestlers placed him at number four.
