Khaled DJ Khaled is an American radio presenter, YouTuber, rapper, disc jockey, record label executive, record producer, author, web celebrity, and hip hop sensation. His YouTube channel has more than 8.6 million subscribers, making it one of the most popular on the internet. Previously known as ‘Arab Attack,’ he changed his stage name to DJ Khaled after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Khaled began his career as a radio host and DJ on a Florida radio station. DJ Khaled began learning how to spin records in his parents’ garage when he was 13 years old. He began networking in hip-hop with artists such as Lil Wayne and Birdman while in New Orleans. Later, he relocated to Miami to pursue a career as a DJ, and Luther Campbell helped him advance his career by making him a regular DJ on the ‘WEDR’ radio station’s ‘The Luke Show.’ With his growing notoriety, he went on to release his first official mixtape, which was followed by a string of commercially successful albums.
