In 2012, Roseanne Park successfully auditioned for YG Entertainment and relocated to South Korea. She spent four years in the company’s intensive trainee program, during which she collaborated with G-Dragon on the track “Without You.” By June 2016, she was announced as a member of the girl group Blackpink, debuting in August under the stage name Rosé alongside Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa. Their entry into the industry was marked by the release of Square One, featuring the hits “Whistle” and “Boombayah.” This was followed in November by Square Two, which included “Stay” and “Playing with Fire.” The group’s immediate success earned them several “best newcomer” awards, with Billboard naming them one of the top new K-pop acts of 2016.
