Currently, Peru’s President, Ollanta Humala, He is the son of a Communist activist and a former soldier. He fought against the Peruvian Communist Party during the country’s civil war and against Ecuador in the Cenepa War. Former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori’s corruption allegations prompted him to lead an uprising. After Fujimori was impeached, Congress pardoned Humala and enabled him to return to the military. A former communist leader’s lawyer and his Italian descendant’s daughter, Ollanta Moisés Humala Tasso were the proud parents of Ollanta Moisés Humala Tasso.

His siblings, Antauro, Pachacutec, Kusi, and Ima, were named after characters in an unknown author’s 1700s Quechuan drama Apu Ollantay.

In 1982, he began paratrooper training at the Colonel Francisco Chorrillos Military Academy.
