David started her career in the entertainment industry as the talent coordinator for the ‘David Letterman Show.’ She created her management company after leaving this position and began representing comedy writers and comedians.

She also began producing comedy specials for networks such as Showtime, Fox, MTV, and HBO. Following that, she directed the documentaries ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ and ‘Fed Up.’ David also produced the HBO documentary ‘Too Hot Not to Handle,’ which focused on the effects of climate change in the United States. ‘Big Ideas for a Small Planet,’ an environmental documentary series, featured her.

Laurie David was born in the United States on March 22, 1958. She was raised in a Jewish home and went on to study journalism at Ohio University, where she graduated in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree. In 1993, she married Larry David, the creator of the television show ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ and they had two children, Romy March and Cazzie Laurel. She filed for divorce on July 19, 2007.
